At Pulse Holistic Health, you can be assured you’re receiving treatment from some of Boise & the Treasure Valley’s most experienced Asian Bodywork Therapists. All of our Bodywork associates are Diplomates of Asian Bodywork, a national designation bestowed by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Diplomates must first qualify to sit for the national exam and only after passing the exam do they earn the Diplomate designation.  Our acupuncturist is licensed by the state of Idaho and is a Diplomate of Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

The founders of Pulse Holistic Health (formerly Crowell, Feeney & Associates), Rylen Feeney and April Crowell, are both AOBTA Certified Amma Bodywork Instructors.

Joan Hurst Dipl., ABT (NCCAOM), Instructor

ammaboise@yahoo.com

As a former graduate of the Amma Bodywork Program at The Wellspring School for Healing Arts, Joan values the role that education plays in our personal health care. In today’s society, where we have left our health in the care of professionals, Joan sheds light on the importance of the conscious and unconscious decisions we make, that allow our health to spiral out of our own control. Her passion is to empower each individual to determine the best course of action for their health by giving them simple yet accurate knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the personal disharmony they are
experiencing. Through diet, exercise and treatment, Joan would like to assist you on your path to wellness. Joan also teaches qigong and some of the didactic classes at The Wellspring School for Healing Arts.

Carla Kyle Dipl., ABT (NCCAOM), Assistant Instructor

cmkyle2003@yahoo.com

Carla spent 18 years treating her family with alternative medicine in Alaska.  Living in remote areas, without access to more traditional options, she incorporated alternative techniques including the use of herbs, homeopathy, allergy diets and emotional freedom techniques to support her family’s health and clear illness.  Committed to her ideal of realizing health and prevention of illness through natural therapies, Carla joined the Amma Therapy program at The Wellspring School for Healing Arts to further her knowledge of integrative health.

Carla practices Amma Therapy at Pulse with a special focus on teens and family health issues.  Employing the principles of traditional Chinese medicine, she enjoys educating her clients on how they can take control of their health and live a life of balance with abundant energy.

Carla received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Boise State University in 1985 and spent many years in the publishing industry.  A career highlight was implementing the nationally affiliated Very Special Arts program, here in Idaho.  The program gave children with disabilities an opportunity to explore pottery, painting and dance in an integrative setting.  She continues to balance work with the arts, a hefty dose of reading and family time spent exploring the backcountry of Idaho.

"Starting a routine of coming to Crowell, Feeney and Associates (Pulse Holistic Health) was the greatest thing that I have ever done for my body, my mind, my spirit and my energy level. I was able to get so much more accomplished in my week by granting myself this time of scheduled rejuvenation for my body."
